CWC is delighted to report that further to the ECB committing to fund eye-witness written reports of the Men's LV= Insurance County Championship and Vitality Blast, all matches in the Women's Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and Regional T20 will also be covered by eye-witness reporters through the ECB Reporters' Network.

Eye-witness coverage has also been confirmed for all Royal London Cup games, funded by the First Class Counties.

CWC is delighted with this outcome, which follows extensive efforts by the club to ensure every professional domestic game is covered by an on-site reporter.

This upholds the integrity of the written reportage, ensures outlets have access to reports of every game in every domestic competition, and guarantees players and teams an accurate, historical record of their feats. We thank the ECB and the Counties, and look forward to the Reporters' Network continuing to provide reliable match coverage into the future.

NOTE: The ECB Reporters’ Network is the agency style set-up that provides written-word coverage of domestic cricket to local, regional and national media outlets. Its reporters are also a valuable source of eye-witness information for live text blogs. The Reporters' Network was established in 2014 with the help of the Cricket Writers' Club to ensure the domestic game received written word coverage at a time when media organisations were cutting jobs and some press boxes threatened to be empty. It has ensured all media outlets can have access to reliable eye-witness reports of domestic cricket in the UK ever since.
